December Make & Takes

This month was optional for the club members to come of not. I figured people would be busy enough with Christmas. :) So, I decided to do something different this month and do a 2 page layout instead of a layout and card. (They chip board "Ayden" was only to demonstrate how to decorate with alphabet Chipboard)

Products Used: Close to My Heart- Level 2 paper packet- Life Delights (X7089B), Legendary Moments- stamp set (D1227), Frame of Mind- stamp set (D1201), Colonial White Collection- Ribbon Rounds (Z1302), White Buttons, Colonial White Waxy Flax, Dimensional Elements Classic Alphabet (Z381).
Techniques Used: Sponge distressing, Chipboard coloring and buttons.
Colors Used: Sweet Leaf, Blush, Chocolate, Colonial White, & Lilac Mist.
To Do: (Page 1) Distress all pieces of paper using sponge distressing and chocolate ink. Start with 12x12 chocolate CS (card stock). Attach 2 1x12 pieces of Colonial White CS to top and bottom of stripe 3x12 B&T paper (Background & Texture). Attach Sweet Leaf 6x9 B&T piece to bottom left of page flesh with the bottom and 1/2" from the left side. Attach stripe/white piece onto on bottom of page about 1" from bottom. Fold 2- 3" pieces of ribbon in half and attach to top left corner of 6x7 Colonial White CS and attach on top about 1/2" from top and 1/8" from right side. Stamp small "100% Potential" saying on Blush CS. Attach Blush CS to small Colonial White CS and attach to sweet leaf B&T piece in upper left corner. Stamp frame on small Sweet Leaf CS. Attach to stripe B&T piece on right side centered under Colonial White CS. Stamp corner designs on bottom left corner, bottom left corner and top right corner of Colonial White CS. Take chipboard and cut edges off. Coloring chipboard works best with a sponge using Sweet Leaf ink. Attach chipboard to Colonial White CS and cut out leaving 1/8" border.

(Page 2) Distress all pieces with sponge and chocolate ink. Attach 2- 1x12 Colonial White CS pieces to top and bottom of stripe 3x12 B&T piece. Attach to 12x12 chocolate CS vertically about 2" from right side. Attach 6x7 sweet leaf B&T piece on top flesh with left side about 1/2" from top. Cut 2- 3" pieces of ribbon and fold in half attaching to 4x6 Colonial White CS on top right corner. Attach Colonial White CS to center of sweet leaf B&T piece. Attach 3- 3" blush CS pieces to bottom of page, spaced evenly apart about 1/2" from bottom. Stamp corner design to bottom left corner and top right corner of page. Take waxy flax and loop through buttons. Attach 3 buttons to bottom right corner of page using Liquid Glass (works best).

So, I totally forgot, but it was Meredith Jensen's Birthday in December. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, we hope it was great!
